Emmy turns one!

Yesterday was Emmy's birthday! This year has FLOWN by! I remember thinking last year at this time how nice it'd be in a year when we'd have a 5 yr old, 3 yr old and 1 yr old and I'd be over the post-pregnancy stage and Emmy'd be old enough to crawl and stand and whatnot. And now we're here and I'm lovin' it! Not that I don't love new-borns, but 1, 3, and 5 are just such fun ages. Emmy's old enough to actually start playing with Samuel and Sofia and it's finally starting to feel like we have 3 kids and not just 2 1/2. :)

We celebrated with cake and presents after daddy got home from work. Farfar and farmor stopped by and joined us. It was fun mostly to see Samuel and Sofia get all excited about Emmy being BIG now cause she's 1!!! The party was mostly for their sakes since Emmy really had no idea all of it was for her :) We love our Emmy!

A Sunny Day!

The past couple days have been really nice here. Although still jacket-weather (50's F), the sun has finally found it's way to Gothenburg and our winter snow has all melted away and we have been outside pretty much the entire time ('cause you never know how long it'll last). Here's some pictures of the kids biking...:)

A taste of Swedish Easter

For some reason that I've never quite understood, all the kids dress up like witches (happy, colorful witches, not green and black, scary witches like at halloween) during Easter. (I'll have to do more research on why). It was fun dressing the kids up and seeing them get all excited. Our apartment complex has a little gathering each year with hot dogs and games. In the morning, we had our own little easter egg hunt in our little yard and then headed over to the festivities. The kids have had A LOT of candy today. They get to eat it tomorrow and Monday as well, then we've decided all the extra candy, we couldn't eat, we'll put back in the easter eggs, hide them again in our yard and have the bunnies come and find them and let them have the rest. After that, all the kids are committed to going the rest of the year without candy. (For some reason, they think it'll be fun). If they can go all year, they get a surprise! That goes for mommy and daddy too :)! HAPPY EASTER everyone!
