Our sweet little Emmy caught the RS-virus. Apparently something very serious in small babies. She had a fever for 2 days and had refused to eat anything but my milk, so we brought her to the emergency room and they immediately took her in because she wasn't breathing very well.
After 3 intense days at the hospital of Emmy not having the energy to do anything but sleep, we finally got to come home last night. Because it's a virus, there's no antibiotics for it, so you simply have to let it run it's course. However, while at the hospital, Emmy got continuous help with controlling her breathing and was feed through a tube. Her breathing is back to normal and now we just have to gradually help her be able to eat again, so her little body can have more energy to get better.
She became such a cuddle bug and became best friends with her thumb. I'm so glad we're back home again and hope she gets back to herself soon!
This is pretty much what she looked like for two straight days. All she wanted to do was cuddle up next to mommy.
Because she hadn't eaten in days, they had to put a tube in her nose, running into her stomach and feed her through that.

poor precious darling Emmy!!!
Poor little angel! 3 days in the hopsital....ugggghhh. I'm glad she's all better though. She is such a cute little baby.
What an ordeal! Bless you all.
I am glad that she is OK. It is never fun when babies are sick.
So sad!! I'm glad you're back home now. She looks so sweet all cuddled up next to you - hopefully she continues to recover well...and that it goes quickly.
Oh Mary that makes me so sad for you guys! I'm sorry. So glad to hear that she is doing better and we hope all gets back to normal soon. So just out of curiosity how are the hospitals in Sweeden? how was your experience?
Oh Mary! I'm so sorry! I had no idea. RSV (as we call here in the States) is NOT fun. Max got it when he was 14 months and it was awful. He didn't have to stay in the hospital or anything and it was still so terrible. I hate it when they are so sick and you can't do anything for them. I'm glad she is better now. Poor thing, poor you, poor Chris. Hard for everyone. So sorry!
